We’ve only used this tent once so far but it has definitely lived up to our expectations. The only thing I will change is the tent pegs that came with it as they are the usual flimsy little metal pegs, and I don’t think they will hold a tent this big in the wind.
My partner is 6′ 2″ and he can stand up inside this tent quite easily. It can easily hold two double mattresses in the center section, plus a mattress in each of the little rooms. It took us about 40 minutes to set it up the first time. It only has one mesh panel that can’t be closed, and it is not very large and is above the main entry door, so it shouldn’t let much dust in – we will be camping in the Nevada desert so this is an issue for us. It even has skylights. EDIT: Now that I’ve used it in the desert – it did hold up to the wind quite well once we attached the guy lines – BUT the mesh windows in the small rooms can’t be completely sealed, the flap that covers them does not attach at the bottom – so they did let quite a bit of dust in. It wasn’t a huge issue as we slept in the center room, but next time I’ll seal these up.
It is HUGE though so you’ll need to camp somewhere with lots of space. Which should be obvious, but most tents that say they can hold 10 people would really only work for 5 or 6 – this one can *comfortably* sleep 8 adults. The center portion is somewhat free-standing but you do need to peg the side rooms and the front vestibule out or they will not stand up. There are lots of pockets to put things in inside the tent and there is one hook in the center to hang a light.

We are a family of five and I extensively searched for the “right” tent. We bought this one and are VERY happy with it. Part of what made it go from GOOD to GREAT is the little design extras – for example, the room window cover has two zippers: 1 to close the window tight and one to let it be loose to let breezes in. Also, the support ropes fit back in the where they attach to the tent to no mess of tangled ropes. The other families we camped with were in awe of our roomy “breezeway” which acted like a mudroom for shoes and other outside items that we needed to protect from the morning dew.
The only thing I see as a potential downside is that the windows are half clear plastic and half screen (very nice when we had a rainstorm that we still have the windows half open for light) – the down side being is the plastic might get brittle and crack over the years.

The description indicates that you can leave out one of the inner tents, but this is not possible as they are all connected. Other than this, the tent is relatively easy to set up, and appears to be well constructed. There is plenty of room to stand in both the entry way and the inner section. The smaller side rooms were great for kids. We were able to put a queen size air mattress in the center room and had PLENTY of room for back packs and room to walk around.

We just received our Utah tent and it has exceeded our expectations. Set-up took 40 minutes with my wife helping is setting up the initial poles and pulling the rain-fly over the top, but otherwise done by me alone(we have 3 small children).
We slept in it last night and it has many great features. I love the way all of the windows have windows on the fly as well for dual protection. With the windows open at night, it was extremely airy and kept cool despite the July heat. The hook in the center of the main room was prefect for our new LED lantern and lit up the main family tent as well as the 2 sleeping rooms well enough to read in the side rooms. The windows provide for plenty of cross circulation, but you can still shut enough for sleeping privacy. The 2 sleeping rooms are separated by screens as well as doors which can be opened separately. There are more than 15 pockets spread throughout the tent for storage of personal items. The entrance way has a couple of sklylights, but there are none in the main tent.
The entrance space has a removeable bath-tub floor that wqe did not set-up, and can create in the space a entire sheltered area for additional people to sleep, storage, or a covered living area. This is in addition to the main tent center.
The size is great. We slept with 5, but will be going cmaping soon with 7, and I cannot see any problems feitting 4 more than that!
This tent is extremely well thought out. You will not regret the purchase. I will edit after our first 4 night trip.
